Bakkan Farm on Taftøyan has been a vibrant place for generations, with roots dating back to the 17th century. Today we are the 5th generation to take care of the place and what belongs here out on the coast of Heim.

Bakkan Restart started in 2025, with a desire to breathe new life into the small farm – and share it with more people. Here, there is a slower pace, closeness to nature and space for both people and animals.

You can experience Bakkan from a kayak out on the sea, or with the coastal goats and horses here on the farm. We try to take care of what is, while creating something new – in our own way.
